Tomorrow I will have been married for one whole year! It went by so fast, but it’s been a wonderful year. I’ve learned a lot, and I’m so thankful for Josh’s patience and love. I know that the singles will be sorry to hear it, but being married is so much vastly greater than being single, that I would never want to go back. Of course, I also think that some people would say the opposite, since not everyone is suited for marriage.

My biggest challenge in the last year:

Learning to forgive in all areas. Seriously, there have been so many days when Josh will do something - not even wrong - but because I had my mind set on a different way of doing things, it made me upset. I have had to grow through that (not finished yet!), and I think that it’s been a very good thing.

One year… and forever to go.

The Large Hadron Collider, the largest particle accelerator in the world shot out its first beam today. The massive tunnels that comprise this are located straddling Switzerland and France, and cost £5 billion. But more than that, there was a wonderful article in the Boston Globe that showed some gorgeous photos of the machine.

I have discovered a very cool website, where you can buy homemade everything! It’s very cool, lots of variety, and I think it’s a great idea. Maybe I’ll sell something there in the future… who knows?

Last weekend I helped out with one of my church’s outreaches, called Clean Slate. We helped a woman named Ruby, who lost her husband this past year, has a handicapped daughter, and has struggled with health issues this past year, too.

Her house was a wreck. But over 200 of us completely reorganized, gutted, and redid her house, Extreme Home Makeover style.

It’s a lot of work, but I’m so glad that we were able to help her, and bring her a clean slate.

I’ve been working on web-design again… and it’s pretty fun. I’d forgotten how much I actually liked it. Would I prefer to do this full-time?
